John Oates was the only son of Pearl and Bert Oates, a fighter pilot in WWII. His loss was a devastating blow to his parents. What better tribute to their son: the most luxurious suite of rooms in Burra-Burra, the manor house he would have inherited consisting of a double bedroom, a large TV-room / library, a dressing-room the size of a small bedroom and a bathroom reminiscent of old-time Hollywood glamour (an untouched Period bathroom).
